Our Team

Our team consists of dedicated professionals who join us from all corners of the globe, including the Cayman Islands, the United States, Germany, the Philippines, United Kingdom and Trinidad! All of our Clinical Staff posses certifications from the Behavior Analysis Certification Board ranging from Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) to Registered Behavior Technicians (RBT). 



Clinical Manager

Anoush earned a BA in Psychology from the American University in Washington D.C. and an M.Ed., in Curriculum and Instruction with a special focus on Autism Studies, from the University of Massachusetts. She completed training at the University of Colorado in the Early Start Denver Model (ESDM), and is currently completing her certification as an ESDM Therapist.

Anoush has over eight years working in the field of Applied Behavior Analysis and working with children with special needs. Anoush specializes in skill acquisition programs for children with Autism. She is currently pursuing a Clinical Doctorate (PsyD) in Clinical Psychology.

Valerie Needham, PsyD., BCBA

Dr. Valerie Needham is a clinical psychologist and BCBA with over 14 years of experience who specializes in working with people diagnosed with autism and related disorders. She is passionate about helping neurodiverse people to reach their personal potential. Currently, Dr. Needham provides clinical supervision for the clients at CABA, and runs group ABA therapy. She also oversees the training program for students pursuing BACB certifications at CABA.

Dr. Needham completed her doctorate of psychology at the American School of Professional Psychology. She completed a postdoctoral specialization in ABA through the University of West Florida, as well as more than 2 years of supervised training in applying ABA therapy to both working with people diagnosed with autism and within Organizational Behavior Management. She has been working with children and adults with autism and other mental health concerns since 2005. Dr. Needham’s background includes experience in neuropsychology, psychotherapy, psychological assessments, and managing an integrated summer camp for neurotypical and neurodiverse children. Her work in ABA includes working as a behavioral technician, a supervisor, and a program director in remote areas of the world with a diverse population.

Melanie R. Martin, M.A., BCBA

Melanie has eight years experience working in the field of ABA, as well as being big sister to a young man with Autism Spectrum Disorder. Melanie first experienced ABA as a teenager while working with her brother David, and rediscovered the field after graduating with her bachelors degree in Cultural Anthropology.

Melanie worked for five years as a senior behavior technician in the USA, Venezuela, and Jordan, with the Center for Autism and Related Disorders. Later, she helped establish a small not-for-profit ABA Clinic in Amman, Jordan, providing case management as well as direct intervention. Melanie is passionate about the field of ABA and how it changes the lives of individuals, families, and communities. She is fluent in English and Spanish.

Senior Behavior Technician

Mary Jean is a highly experienced ABA interventionist with 14+ years of hands-on experience. She is proficient in working with adults and children with autism and other developmental, emotional and intellectual disabilities. She is compassionate, well-organized and patient with excellent communication, interpersonal and social skills along with a strong determination of providing the highest quality of services to all the clients.

She is currently pursuing Board Certification as a Board Certified Assistant Behavior Analyst (BCaBA).


RBT in Training


Senior Behavior Technician

Juneilyn is an accomplished applied behavior analysis technician with fourteen years of experience in handling various cases of children with special needs, a certified professional teacher in her country. Juneilyn finished her masters of arts in special education backed in 2012 and Board Certified Associate Behavior Analyst Coursework in 2016.

She is Registered Behavior Technician since 2015. She worked with children with autism in various countries such as Philippines, Qatar and United Arab Emirates. In 2008 to 2011 she worked in one of the prestigious Deaf school in her country. In 2013 she worked as a special education class teacher handling various cases of nine students in Qatar.

Currently, she implements ABA programs using Skills curriculum and supervised by highly qualified BCBAs.

Hope Russell

RBT Trainee

The role of Registered Behavior Technician has always been a career Hope wanted to pursue since she was 10 years old. She is eager to experience this journey because she wants to change the lives and help children with their communication skills, daily living skills, socialization and social skills, academic readiness or academic skill building, and behavior disorder.

DEREK OLIVER, M.A., RBT-18-48577

Senior Behavior Technician

Derek graduated Summa Cum Laude from Pennsylvania State University with a Masters of Applied Clinical Psychology, and an emphasis on Developmental Psychology and Developmental Neuroscience.

He has worked in the field of ABA for five years and is deeply passionate about his work. He moved to Cayman Brac to serve families in the Sister Islands with his expertise in ABA and dedication to the development of children.

He is currently pursuing certification as a Board Certified Behavior Analyst.

John Bryan Bautista  John Bryan earned his Bachelors Degree in Tertiary Education from Wesleyan University in the Philippines in March of 2011. John Bryan Bautista

John Bryan earned his Bachelors Degree in Tertiary Education from Wesleyan University in the Philippines in March of 2011.

He began working as a Senior ABA Therapist in 2011 and expanded his experience in dealing with children who have special needs.

John Bryan has demonstrated his commitment to helping the children attending Cayman ABA to grow through his patient demeanor and positive attitude.


Senior Behavior Technician

Erica earned a Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education from the University of Makati in 2014.

She began working as a behavioral interventionist three years ago, and gained extensive experience in all aspects of direct service provision.

She is friendly, kind, and caring, and her expertise as a behavior technician is a valuable asset to our team.


Operations and Administration


Operations Manager

Eleanor brings over 20 years of management experience to our team with expertise in defining structure, creating efficiencies, policy development & implementation and performance enhancement. Having worked in England, Canada, Bermuda and the Cayman Islands, she is extremely familiar with differing immigration laws and staffing. Her ability to connect with her colleagues enables her to deliver the necessary training and development plans within the administrative operations area of our business and will be instrumental in our future growth.

Her passion to work for an establishment that truly makes a difference in the community is what attracted Eleanor to Cayman ABA and will allow her to help with future expansions.


Clinical Operations Supervisor

Cindy has over 20 years experience in the education field and working with children both Grand Cayman and France. She is knowledgeable in all areas of school and business administration, as well as having experience in a clinical health practice setting. Cindy has a great rapport with everyone she comes in contact with and is always happy to assist others. It is her love and passion for working with children that brought her to Cayman ABA. She is currently pursuing her RBT Training.


Patient Accounts Coordinator

Sonya Bendo has over 15 years’ experience in all areas of business administration, as well as having experience in Human Resources.

Sonya is a great team player willing to assist with any task given. She is very friendly and has a passion for helping people.

Her passion for helping others lead her to seek out this position at Cayman ABA, and she has brought a wealth of experience and knowledge to our team!

Ruth Ogao

Office Assistant

Ruth’s positive attitude and enthusiasm to help everyone she comes into contact with, makes her a joy to be around for her colleagues and the children attending Cayman ABA.
